Pregnancy & Postpartum Hope and Healing

As a specialist in pregnancy and postpartum support, I am committed to women’s reproductive health. I truly enjoy seeing women become the mothers they want to be as well as feeling happy, calm, and fulfilled.

In individual therapy I assist women to:

  • Find new coping skills
  • Resolve past traumas
  • Brainstorm ways of finding needed resources and target behaviors and thoughts that are contributing to symptoms

I work with issues around:

  • Loss of identity
  • Low self-esteem
  • Working mom’s guilt over leaving their baby
  • Stay-at-home moms' feelings of isolation
  • Conflicts in the marriage/partnership
  • Painful confusing thoughts of harming the baby or themselves
  • Struggles with sleep deprivation
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Re-emergence of “old behaviors” and previously treated issues such as eating disorders or drug and alcohol problems.

Professional memberships and training

I’m a current member of Postpartum Support International (PSI) and stay up-to-date on current treatment approaches and research through PSI, the Marcé Society for Perinatal Mental Health, and MedEdPPD.org.

Insurance and fees

If clients have PPO insurance my services are reimbursable (as an out-of-network provider). I provide comprehensive statements to facilitate reimbursement ease for clients. Also, I accept credit cards and am willing to adjust my fee for clients with demonstrated need.
